Think warm thoughts!

I'm so thankful for seasons. I love them. I love having different things to do, see, smell and wear. I'm loving the fall, but today I was helping the boys collect leaves outside (E called it a leaf festival) and I was chilled to the bone by the wind. I couldn't warm up. We came in and had hot chocolate. We baked cookies and made soup for dinner. I still felt chilly. I guess it's just a little adjustment problem, or maybe it's this dumb infection I've been fighting for a few days. Well- I found these pictures from late summer in my other camera and they warmed me right up. We decided to eat dinner outside one day when Adam had something after work and I was just so in love with our view, the summer beauty and my boys.

The Organ Loft

Last weekend we went on Adam's dream date. Seriously- he arranged his parents to babysit, invited friends to join us, picked the restaurant and bought tickets to the strangest place I've been- The Organ Loft. He was that excited. (I was just glad to have a break from boys, oh, and that I didn't have to arrange anything.) Maybe you've heard of the place, but I doubt it. Picture a whole building with lots of instruments hooked up to this sweet organ. We watched the old silent movie- Dracula while a little old guy played the soundtrack to it. Really cool.

The food was pretty great too- who'd have thought Coachman's would have such good breakfast foods for dinner?

And the company. I heard one of the funniest stories ever that night. The kind that makes you laugh so uncontrollably that it's almost embarrassing, but worth it. I love a good laugh.

I hope we go on this same date again someday. Maybe you should too. Mix it up a little.

Stifled Laughs

All photos taken on Sunday...
During church, Elliott puts out some elaborate drawings. We actually have to pry the markers from his hands when it's time to go to his class. He loves it. On Sunday he drew a Christmas scene complete with tree, stockings by a fire and lights on the roof.
I admired Elliott's picture as he whispered the details. He was on my left. I turned to my right to see what Ollie was creating on his page.
"Oh- that's nice Ollie! What did you draw?" I said. He replied proudly, "A flying poo ball!" (Complete with a mouth, eyes and wings...) We all started laughing- including the family behind us, because Ollie's whisper is anything but quiet. Some things are a lot funnier at church.

Halloween '09

Adam made pumpkin pancakes.

Linc wore his pre-costume bones.
Elliott and the candy. He wouldn't wear his wizard beard. I don't blame him- it was as big as him... and itchy.

Ollie was Wolverine.

Lincoln was the cutest little bumblebee.

We had some great treats on our street. Here's Rachael making fresh donuts. (YUM!) There were also churros and hot chocolate.
Adam got a surprise at the Jorgensens. John informed him that he dressed up like Adam for Halloween. Funny.

Grammy and Grandpa helped us hand out candy. Thanks guys!
Megs and Tanner with baby Linc.
Counting/organizing/admiring the candy.

What a great Halloween!

Festivities

Elliott the Wizard- ready for school and the parade.
(Ollie at the camera while we waited.)
Lincoln and me.
Addie and Linds

Benny in the parade.
Elliott.
This was at a Halloween party the night before at my Mom's house.
Linc and Addie (I love the way Addie
calls him Blincoln. It's sooo cute!)

Making crafts thanks to my sister, Jackie!

Yes I do realize I take more pics of the babe
in his suit than the big boys. Heh heh.
Cousins: Ollie, Elli, Lincoln, Elliott, Benny,
Bailey, Ryder and Trevan
The boys and the sunset.

The boys wrestling with Uncle Brian.

Such a fun party!
