boysies

My good friend, Naoma took our pictures a few weeks ago. I love the way they turned out! She is so good with kids and even got some cute ones of Lincoln who was being SUCH a STINKER. He wouldn't let me hold him, wouldn't stand still and just wanted to run... as far from us as he could. Anyway- here are some of my favorites, although I haven't decided what we are using for our Christmas card yet, so I'm not posting the family ones right now.
Lincoln Noah {18 months}
I love how dark his eyes are! He is such a little busy sweetheart. He follows his brothers everywhere and copies them in every way. He loves taking naps, loves his blanky and binky and is obsessed with our cat. They even take naps together sometimes.

Oliver Jack {4 & 1/2 years}
(The above pic is SO Ollie- I love it! Thanks for capturing this face Naoma! :) ) Ollie loves to play with friends and cousins and loves to snuggle. He is very sweet and so funny. We're finding he picks up on things really easy and can memorize a lot. He also loves to sing and play music on the CD player. (Let's just I've caught him a few times shaking the maracas we brought from Mexico- along with his booty- to the music.)

Elliott Adam {7 years}
I'm in love with his golden brown eyes... melting...
I still can't believe my cute baby is 7 years old already. And so big. He's such a sweetheart. He loves that I get to help in his class at school so much this year. He is always asking to play with his cousins and always counting down the days until it's the weekend again. He is still obsessed with Ben 10 and will tell you all about it if you want. He's always thinking about the stories he's reading and laughing at the pictures. And I am so glad he finally caught on to reading and is good at it. I've been reading him chapter books for a long time now and he could listen forever. It's fun talking about the stories with him.

So I actually requested this pose. I know everyone's doing it right now, but I love for my kids to know that their parents love each other and to see us kiss once in a while. And now I love that it's captured on film. :)

{more misc photos}

I'm so thankful for all of my boys! They are my world and teach me everyday to be better. I know that I am very blessed. I just hope to be a good Mommy and help them learn how to be good people.
Thanks Naoma! For her contact info, click here. Or below. She has the best prices I've seen and gives you the copy of all the pics on a CD. Plus she's the nicest person you'll meet. And you need some pics for the holiday yes?

girls

Tam, Steph, Sini, Ange and Jilly
I just got back from an amazing weekend with some old friends. (Oldies but goodies.) This was the only picture we took the whole weekend because we were too busy talking, shopping, eating, laughing till we peed, trying to meet one of our group in the city who has yet to own a cell phone, SHOPPING, staying up late, getting lost and talking. I feel like a better person when I get some quality girl time in. Thanks for making it girls- I had so much fun!

day 5- the place puzzles are made of

Cesky Krumlov, Czech Republic may be the most beautiful place I've ever visited. (What- have I said this before???) But look at this place! I could make a Swiss Days booth of landscape puzzles just from the photos I took there. And I snapped the above photo from, yep, the bathroom window, after I saw droves of women from our luncheon heading to the WC with their cameras! I grabbed mine and went to the wrong bathroom that was windowless (that was confusing) and had to come back to ask where the right one was. But I got the shot of the century. Too bad for the men whose bathroom didn't have such great views.
Our first glimpse of the town. It's surrounded by a river which makes the city even more charming. Just below us was a brewery and it was pumping out smells I've never experienced. Interesting.

"restaurants"
Just another {AMAZING} narrow, cobblestone street. And Karen and Steve.

But what do the thumbs mean?
Must plant these flowers next year- geraniums right? Do they step over them to get in the door? I don't know, but still a pretty sight.
Fancy! (If by fancy you mean no ice in your drinks...)
Love the charming greens, yellows and reds next to the water...
We walked across the bridge to the castle and looked down to see bears in the moat!
They've kept bears there for hundreds of years now. They were so fuzzy and cute! I really wish the boys were there to see them taking a bath.

This crooked, steep alleyway was one of my favorite parts of the town.

Karen was one of my favorite people in the tour group. She was so funny and cute. And we know some of the same people, which was cool. She was so fun to travel with and we both got our scarves on the streets of Cesky Krumlov.

Again, the photos don't do justice. You'll just have to visit it for yourself! :)

thanksgiving robot

Elliott brought home a turkey from school that we needed to disguise as a family so that he wouldn't be found and eaten for someone's dinner. This is what he ended up with. If you look close you can see a round turkey belly under there. He worked really hard and he even let Adam put a guitar on. (He was trying to talk him into cutting out long rocker hair and sunglasses from a magazine, but E would have none of it.)

relax

We had our fair share of delays and other annoying airport situations on our trip (like when we went to check in at the Krakow, Poland airport and they told us the fog was too thick, so they bused our whole flight an hour and a half away to another airport to finally get on our way!) But while our flight was delayed in Paris to come back home we happened upon these amazing chairs. They were just down a few steps and nobody was monitoring who could sit there, so we did. And we took a little power nap, with our legs elevated and covered with little blankets. It was heaven. I felt so good afterwards. And the view wasn't so bad either. It made my day and I'll forgive the Paris airport for keeping our huge suitcase 5 days longer than they did us, just because they lent us these chairs.
P.S. The scattering of the magazines happened before I got there. I would never be so messy...

missing shoe

Mr. Lincoln

Last week, we couldn't find Lincoln's shoes. They were missing , but I was sure they'd turn up. They didn't. I was ready to buy him some new ones after it snowed one day and I was trying to make him wear sandals. That night, Linc was doing his usual making dinner routine and opened the oven warmer drawer. There they were! He found them himself. What a good little baby.

holiday excitement!

Oh wow. Just came across this online magazine and it was soooo much fun to look at. And it's getting me excited for the holidays. How nice would it be to have everything finished before Thanksgiving and just enjoy a peaceful December? Sounds nice to me. I got a few craft ideas (tissue paper snowflakes for the top of gifts... I know my "crafting during the holidays limit" people), some Christmas lists going and even printed some free gift tags. Oh, and the best part was that I made the proclamation to Adam that I think we should pick up our family and move to Finland for a couple of years. (I know.) You should have a look for a little inspiration (if nothing else it's beautiful photography):
