Ice Castles at Night

(The boys with the moon in the background.)
We decided to visit the ice castles in Midway last night -thanks for the idea blogging friends! They were very cool with lights coming from inside of them. You could see the Heber city lights in the background sometimes and the moon too. It was beautiful and I'm glad we made it up there. It was definitely worth the $2 to get in. Afterwards we ate dinner at my favorite Mexican restaurant which happens to be in Midway too. (Why can't I remember the name of it? Oh yeah- because it's a hard to pronounce Spanish word.) We turned our otherwise boring Friday night into something the boys will be talking about for a while. So fun!
My boys are obsessed with icicles- so this was cool for them to see. Plus they could feel the ice- so many different textures.
This is the pond in the middle. It was so cold up there!
Some sprinklers were going still. And we learned there is a guy maintaining this stuff 14 hours a day! He was walking around with his ice spike shoes and buckets- grafting ice on and making things even cooler.

Little Linc finally got to wear his snow suit my friend Rach gave me from her boys- it fit him perfectly. His little hat underneath might have been a bit tight and his face was sooo funny the whole time. He would just stare at me, and wouldn't turn his head, just his eyes-- with his little cheeks squishing out. I was laughing the whole time he was wearing it!
The ice throne.

This just makes me laugh!

Ollie's favorite.

This is the biggest castle and you could go inside of it! This is where the guy was working so he said you couldn't go all the way through yet- just in and back out. Really cool!

ten months

Where does the time go? My baby is 10 months old. I'm so sad and happy. He's such a fun age though. So lovable. He is such a busy little boy- always going non-stop. Really independent. He no longer sits and plays, he pulls himself up, or army crawls around. He has his favorite little spots- like boinging the door stoppers, or finding dropped cheerios on the kitchen floor (I've been a better sweeper since I realized his obsession.) Oh yeah- he has 8 teeth now! He looks like a little man- so funny. We love our happy little Linc. Our whole family is so in love with him!

I love this mischievous little face.

Checking out the night's snowfall.

I so love his chubby little wrists and dimples in his hand. (Even if most of the time they feel a little sticky- I still love 'em.)

About two weeks ago Linc came walking by me in the kitchen (holding onto his walker of course.) I was so shocked because I use to hold him up as he pushed. He figured it out by himself and has since learned to turn and back up this thing. His favorite route is through the kitchen (with a stop to twirl the globe for a minute), around the island and back into the family room. He looks so cute and funny- like a little robot.
If you come and sit on the floor by him, or even away- he'll scoot over and climb into your lap, get a hug, and then instantly want to go again. So busy.
Love you Linc-E Poika!
(Poika equals boy in Finnish.... I think.)

Winter Favorites

Winter means so much inside time- thank goodness for the wii!
Benny, Elliott, Ollie and Addie (pretending to play.)Elli in the background playing on my phone.

And the boys still help me make soup (which we've had lots of this winter)- even Linc has to be right there with the big boys, he army crawled right over and pulled himself up to see what was going on...

Airplanes and Classic Disney

Watching planes at the airport. Elliott is such a little helper. He loves to play with Lincoln all the time. Such a good big brother.

Elliott was having a little anxiety thinking about taking off in the plane- holding Linc helped calm him down.

We went to Disneyland for Adam's work convention. Since he works with his dad and our brother in law, Brian, their families came too!
Elliott and Oliver were so excited to go with cousins from both sides. Collin, Kenzie, Linc, Elliott, Ollie, Addie, Benny and Elli.
Minnie and Goofy. Ahhh look at that sun shining! Perfect 70 degree weather!
