(The boys with the moon in the background.)
We decided to visit the ice castles in Midway last night -thanks for the idea blogging friends! They were very cool with lights coming from inside of them. You could see the Heber city lights in the background sometimes and the moon too. It was beautiful and I'm glad we made it up there. It was definitely worth the $2 to get in. Afterwards we ate dinner at my favorite Mexican restaurant which happens to be in Midway too. (Why can't I remember the name of it? Oh yeah- because it's a hard to pronounce Spanish word.) We turned our otherwise boring Friday night into something the boys will be talking about for a while. So fun!
My boys are obsessed with icicles- so this was cool for them to see. Plus they could feel the ice- so many different textures.
Little Linc finally got to wear his snow suit my friend Rach gave me from her boys- it fit him perfectly. His little hat underneath might have been a bit tight and his face was sooo funny the whole time. He would just stare at me, and wouldn't turn his head, just his eyes-- with his little cheeks squishing out. I was laughing the whole time he was wearing it!
This is the biggest castle and you could go inside of it! This is where the guy was working so he said you couldn't go all the way through yet- just in and back out. Really cool!

This is the pond in the middle. It was so cold up there!
Some sprinklers were going still. And we learned there is a guy maintaining this stuff 14 hours a day! He was walking around with his ice spike shoes and buckets- grafting ice on and making things even cooler.Little Linc finally got to wear his snow suit my friend Rach gave me from her boys- it fit him perfectly. The ice throne.
This just makes me laugh!
Ollie's favorite.
