cinnamon roll sunrise

I run on this hill all the time with Ann and Linds.
We see the most beautiful sunrises!
My favorites are when it's cloudy- it makes the skies more dramatic and colorful.
So for a year, we've been running to the top of this hill, and when we turn to go down-
the sun is shining over the valley.
It is breathtaking!
And every time I think to myself, "The boys would love to see this!"
So I finally did it.
I picked up some cinnamon rolls the day before and talked to
the boys about waking them up at 6:00 the next morning.
They were all excited... except Adam.
That morning Franky woke up to nurse around 5:40- perfect!
So I put him in his carseat when he was done, got the other boys up and loaded in.
Last to stagger out was Adam, but at least he came right?
It was quiet and peaceful on the hill.
We could hear the birds chirping and the faint sound of traffic far away somewhere.
We left Franky in the car sleeping.
It was a cooler summer morning, so I'm glad the boys had their blankets.
We got there just in time.

I had to leave this one in because of Linc going in for the bite... haha!

There was a wildfire somewhere, so you can see the smoke in the air.
Still, gorgeous.

After a few minutes, we packed everyone back in the car so Adam could leave for work.
Maybe someday we'll go on a sunrise hike, but for now, this was perfect.

I love my little family and our adventures!

What a great idea! Such a quiet and peaceful moment to share with your family. I love the pics of Adam with Lincoln. SO precious! I've said it before, but your boys are so lucky to have you for a mom.

Dear Sini, when I think about Pres Uchtdorf's saying "you spell love T-i-m-e" I think of you. There is no question your boys will thank you every day for the awesome stuff you do. I too need the the "awesome mom" class:)
