spring baby

So I turned 32 the other day. It was fabulous. I did a little babysitting, Linds brought me Kneader's for lunch and I had a delicious dinner at Carrabba's with Adam and the boys. My friend Melissa even made me a strawberry cheesecake! It's been so long since I've had a cake and blown out candles. And facebook friends- wowee. I would tell everyone to get an account and just check it on their bday for a little extra love. :)

(Please excuse the dark pictures above. Turns out I'm not the only one to put my finger in front of the camera...)

Is it weird that I still feel 25? I'm pretty sure I'll still feel it when I'm 50 too...

And I get to share my birthday with my MIL, Karen. Yep- the exact same day. How cool is that- I'll always remind Adam of his mom's bday, so he'll never forget mine. Nice.

Megs made us some gourmet stuffed burritos Sunday night to celebrate. And we both got each other a pair of shoes... hers are Sperry Topsiders and my new ones are Tom's. Both comfy shoes. Isn't it that you give gifts that you secretly want to get yourself? Haha.

Anyway, it's funny getting older and your birthday is pretty much what you make of it. I loved it.

And I love having my birthday in March.

People come out of hibernation and on 49 degree days all the kids are out playing without their jackets on. Everyone is full of hope and excitement for the real 65 degree spring to arrive.

We had a little snowstorm this week that covered everything, but true to Utah springs, it melted fast.
And today Elliott found these purple beauties. We always think the bottom petals look like hornets.
We've been watching these ones open and close for the last couple of days too. Thank goodness for crocuses to hold us over until the big tulip/daffodil blooming event.
We even found some fuzzy caterpillars starting to grow in the backyard.

Eeeeeeeeeee! (That's me loving this time of year.)

Happy BIrthday to you! And I know what you mean--I'm still 24 in my mind...it's my last year in my 20's but I don't really care--with age comes wisdom :) And I love my Toms, the are so comfy! What color did you get???

I heart spring. Glad you had a good birthday, too. What a perfect combination. And it's funny because I'm stuck at 27. I don't know why I got there but it takes a second to figure out my real age. I automatically go straight to 27. You look 25 so let's go with that.

Happy Birthday to you! I love that you still feel young and that you said your birthday is what you make of it! I need to start thinking like that and stop stressing about getting older!! :) Happy Birthday!!

Loved your spring pictures! I got some Toms but they were the wrong size (ordered online). Sent them back...someday they will be mine.

Happy Birthday Sinik! It's funny how even now that we're not kids anymore, it's still fun to be sung to on our birthday and have some cake. I'm glad you still feel 25. I still feel 17. Weird, I know. Maybe it's because I peaked in high school...
