blessing day

The day before Franky was three weeks old, Adam blessed him at church.
He wore Adam's blessing outfit from 33 years ago!
(Elliott, Oliver and Lincoln also wore it for their blessing days.)
I love that little sweater suit- it is just perfect.

We had a lunch with family after the blessing.
I was glad everyone pitched in and brought most of the food.
And of course everyone had to prep it for me because Franky was hungry the second we were home.
 It was a great day!

Before church.

After the meeting--- hungry and mad!!

And later- sleeping in the middle of his party.
Grandma and cousin Cooper

Ollie, Baby Finnley, Baby Coop, Benny, Lincoln, Elliott. Baby Franky, Will, Fisher & Gabby

We had a great day-- I love blessing days!

4 brothers

4 boys in a row
Franky- 2 weeks, Linc almost 4, Ollie almost 7, Elliott 9 1/2
Elliott got the boys all lined up and told me to come and take a picture.

It is such a funny dynamic- four boys.
We are still figuring it out and are really just amazed.
We never could have thought this is how our family would be.
I love how different each of the boys are...
And how much they are alike.

Elliott is my biggest helper with Franky- always asking to hold him and loves getting him from his crib.
But Ollie and Linc help too. Linc has even brought the baby to me a couple of times. (gulp)
These pictures make me laugh- everyone is trying to help in some way:

Each boy has something different- burp cloth, toy, blanket- they all want to help.
They did this all on their own without any promptings from me or Adam.
(Sorry for Adam's blink in this one, but Franky's face is too cute!)

Franky is very, very loved by his big brothers.
I have a feeling he'll be able to hold his own someday amongst all these boys!

making clouds

Elliott is in 3rd grade and had to do a science project to present to his class.
He decided on making clouds-- seeing if cold, warm or hot water evaporated better in the chilly Utah air. Of course we waited until it was too warm to work! It was due on Monday and on Sunday morning we woke up to fresh snow and cold air so we did a quick test right before church. It worked!
(He also had to make a poster and write down all his tests and results.)

cold water- no cloud
warm water- tiny bit of steam
boiling water- evaporation cloud!

Ollie tried it too... we all did and it was fun!

Science is pretty cool!

Franky's second week

Grammy and Grandpa were in California to welcome Baby Stella exactly a week before Franky was born and stayed for a couple of weeks. When Franky was eight days old, they came straight from the airport to see him. He is lucky to have such amazing grandparents!

Karen snapped one of me and my Franky.

Tummy time- not a fan yet.

More happy dreams.
Elliott is my helper who is always asking to hold the baby.
He is very patient with him- it's fun to see.

Someone (me) had an ice cream/ sweets infatuation those first few weeks and the boys got to benefit!
Does this craving happen to anyone else while they're nursing??

Adam loves his little baby- we both love the newborn stage so much!

Super hero Franky to the rescue!

This is how our days look like when the big brothers are at school- pretty quiet.

And everyone congregates around the baby when they are home.

The boys all take turns giving Franky a stuffed toy and I always find him like this.
We love all the hair Franky has in back... not so much up front yet though.

Here is my attempt with the big camera by myself.
And here's one that I had Elliott take. This is how I get in the pics people!
(I want Franky to know I was there too- ha!)
P.S. Can you see Ollie's silhouette on the right as he is running through the shot?
