anniversary

 Today is our 11 year anniversary! 

In a way it feels like we were just married, 

but at the same time I can't imagine what my life was like before I met Adam. 

So cliche I know, but it's true. 

We actually met 14 years ago at Snow College. 

We started dating and then he went on a mission to Japan for 2 years. 

We learned so much about each other during those two years!

 I lived for mail delivery. 

And I still love getting letters- especially love letters...

I dated while he was gone, but nobody seemed as perfect a fit as Adam. 

So when he came back, we were married less than three months later.

I did think it would be all fun and games. Really. 

Now I know that marriage is hard work!

We have to constantly work on it and be on the same page mentally, spiritually and emotionally.

I've also learned that we can get through hard things.

I love that we can help each other and be on the same team.

We have grown up so much in the last 11 years. 

We were just 21-year-old babies.

I am so lucky to have him! Here are some of my favorite things about Adam:

He has taught me to communicate.  

He is smart and has a great sense of direction. 

He is so funny and sarcastic- he makes me laugh every day... lots of times. 

He is so gentle with me and the boys.

He never yells.

He is good at fixing things.

He plays guitar (and sometimes sings!) for me and the boys every night.

He's my personal DJ and has an amazing taste and knowledge in music.

He takes me to concerts with him.

He is my fellow foodie.

He dresses cool- and even helps me with fashion dilemmas. 

He is spiritual and takes his church callings seriously.

He is a great Daddy.

He is fun to be a parent with. 

We laugh so hard at our boys and how cute they are!

He is sooooo handsome!!
