no jackets required

Lincoln picking raspberries
I'm so happy we had nice weather for fall break.
Mornings were crisp, but afternoons warmed up.
We spent one of the days off school playing in my mom's backyard.
It was nice to have her just sit and talk with us and play with the kids.
(I'm sure it was killing her not to be working in the garden while we talked- my mom never stops!)
We took a little lunch break inside and then had pomegranates from my mom's tree for dessert!
Delicious!
Linc was so tired by the end he just let grandma hold him-
he never stops either so I had to snap some photos.
He just seems so long when my tiny mom holds him.

I loved this day- just enjoying the simple life.
And one of the last days no jackets and other outside gear were required.

I had to smile, when you wrote: "I'm sure it was killing her not to be working in the garden while we talked- my mom never stops!" My Mum is the same and when we're leaving, she usually says: "Oh, I havent done nothing today!" Then she looks us and adds something like: "But it was nice, wasn't it?!" :)
