franky's nursery

I had big plans for Franky's nursery.
I was thinking woodland creatures theme.
It had been painted light blue for all the other boys, but when we painted our whole upstairs gray, we had them paint over the blue in the nursery, because what if we had a girl?
I love the gray.
It turned out different than I was picturing, but I like it.
I love that it's pretty simple. For my sweet little Franky.
The fun little furry rug is from IKEA.
It feels so good on my bare feet when I check of Franky all night long.
I love it.
And the boys love it- hopefully Franky will too.

I wanted to paint and recover the rocking chair, but some things you just don't get to before baby arrives you know?

My friend Abby showed me these amazing animal pictures from The Animal Print Shop
go have a look, so very cute. It was hard to pick because I wanted all of them!
P.S. Your kids would love to see them online too.
We wanted a gray, modern looking crib and were surprised to find an affordable version!
Crib from Walmart.com, Chevron sheets from Target, Bumper from Pottery Barn kids, re-used from Lincoln. Paper mobile from Oh Sweet Sadie Boutique. I have a bedskirt but forgot to put it on for these pictures. Also, not loving that the pics are so dark and fuzzy. Oh well.

Horse from Adam's childhood- he made it with his grandpa- PopPop.
Sign from Swiss Days.
Antique boy pic from an Antique store and re-used from Ollie and Linc's nurseries.
I should have organized this a little better, but it's the cute cart from IKEA. I loved when I saw it there and had been thinking of a place for it. So glad it is perfect for the nursery and hold all the little miscellaneous things.
Adam found this giant picture in my mom's basement. It's really a wall heater from the 70's and was still in it's original wrapping and had never been used.
ABC picture from Swiss Days.
Owl from my sister Linds, Fox from Target,
lamp reused from our family room- we've had it for 10 years or so!
Pillow and baby blanket from Target.
I wish I had a snapshot of my room as I was growing up.
Hopefully Franky will like seeing these someday.

This was so fun to see! I love all of the elements you chose. And that little white fox....I won that same fox during a RS white elephant exchange, and then someone took it away and I was stuck with chocolate. I was so sad to see that adorable little fox go....

Oh, I love this room! Love the color and all those pretty things...
I think we have the same rug. We have three, actually. One is in my son's room. :) He likes it, too.
And I saw the blue cart in IKEA the other day and I'm still thinking about it.
Beautiful.

So so cute, Sini!! I love all the vintage stuff mixed with modern. You have the best style. I never thought of how my kids will appreciate pictures of their rooms, or how I would love to see a picture of my room as a kid! What memories it would stir up, I'm sure. Your boys are lucky you think of these things.
