Day 3 was a cloudy day- but perfect weather otherwise! If it weren't for those dang mosquitoes swarming us! Adam ended up getting 31 bites- seven right through his shirt! Ollie got 23 and I only got 4. (Linc- 0 and E- 15 or something?) Next time I'll take better bug spray!
Lincoln Baby playing in Elliott's pond.
{Benny and Elliott in the background, braving the frigid waters.}
These guys were so funny. Allex- my cousin, Robyn's son, Jason and Anikka- my nephew and niece. Notice the swamplands in the background... we had to hike through knee deep water and weeds to get to the beach! It's so different every year that we go.
Benny- dragging the wagon under the water. He's got quite the imagination- it's fun to hear what he thinks.
Oliver- discovering the beach.
The funny thing about this is that they were sitting in a pool of water.... not so comfy?
Anikka
Elliott- who, in the process got a mouthful of sand.
Sleepy boys on the drive home.
Elliott and Benny watching a movie during rush hour traffic on the freeway. We shouldn't have stopped in Evanston to buy fireworks! :)
Trying to keep Linc busy on the drive. Eventually, I just put him in his carseat- it's what he knows best. It was a fun and busy trip. So great to see everyone- although I love being on facebook and catching up that way too. And now I need a vacation! :)
