Sometimes outings with the boys don't seem worth it. All the packing- dry clothes, towels, lunches, sunscreen- and complaining, the diaper change just as we're walking out the door, the "when are we back home so we can play the ipad?" when we've just left our street? The long drive, the fights in the car. Hmm- it always seems like I've made a mistake. And can you believe I actually make the boys look out the window and stop the DVD when we get to the mountains? Yesterday- a certain someone told me, "Well, I'm not looking out the window then, I'm just looking down."
But it usually works out- and in the end we all get some fresh air, some new places to explore and some together time. And I even get in a little girl talk.

The water was icy cold. And the wind gusts were, well, unexpected most of the time. My chair might have taken flight over 5 times. Darn that shade cover on top which I thought would be awesome, but actually turned it into a kite.
I can't get over the color of this lake! So green!
My friends, Lindsay and Ann. I love them, and their kids are so cute and well behaved. And Ann always has enough medicine, treats, toys, etc for everyone- and all with a smile. Sigh.

And I leave you with this- I just had to zoom in on Ollie and E from the picture above. According to them it was the best trip ever- but you knew that already, by the look on their faces.
